Operational Excellence Is A Key Part Of System Modernisation
Many CXOs in Australia and New Zealand are struggling to balance tight budgets, recruitment challenges, and innovation demands. A recent report by Tech Research Asia (TRA), sponsored by Rimini Street, surveyed 305 CXOs across industries including retail, manufacturing, banking, and telecommunications to uncover how organizations are managing digital transformation (DX) and IT modernization.
The report reveals that 98% of respondents are engaged in DX initiatives, yet many lack a clear digital vision, leading to “DX fatigue.” Additionally, 88% are running IT modernization programs that are over time (61%) and over budget (68%), indicating a disconnect between strategic goals and execution.
Another key finding is that up to 60% of respondents are dissatisfied with their primary operational IT system vendor, highlighting the need for improved vendor management and technology alignment.
